Mr. Qumar Abbas, Senior Advisor currently working in Government Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer. He has an experience of 19+ years in the field of Library and Information Science. He has completed B.A.Honors (Geography) & M.A. (Geography) from Government College, Ajmer. He has completed BLIS from University of Rajasthan & MLIS & Master of Philosophy in Library Science. He has also completed CPDL, RSCIT & some Library Automation Courses from UGC, NISCAIR, DELNET etc. He participated in 35 seminars, workshops and conferences. He also presented 13 papers in National and International Conferences. Prior to this he served different well-known institutions i.e., Shri Dungargarh College, Sridungargarh; Poornima Engineering College, Jaipur; National Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Jaipur; Kautilya Institute of Technology & Engineering & School of Management, Jaipur as librarian & SMS Medical College, Jaipur as a Assistant Librarian. .

He has done 11 Webinars of Medical Library Association of India and 3 Webinars of ASLIP and 3 Webinars of Rajasthan Technical Library Association as a Webinar Technical Coordinator & Organizing Secretary with great success. He was also an Organizing Secretary of 68th ILA International Conference-2023,ASLIP CONCLAVE 2023- International Conference on Library Technology Relationship, 9th National Conference of RTLA on Transforming Education through Information literacy & 8 th National Conference of RTLA on Multidisciplinary Research trends and approaches & Convener of Two days National workshop on KOHA ILMS.

Presently he is Senior Advisor of Rajasthan Technical Library Association and doing work for LISProfessional development in Rajasthan. He is also worked for the post of Council Member,Treasurer,Vice President & President of Rajasthan Technical Library Association & Ex. Treasurer of FHSLA & Vice President Rajasthani Medical Library Association & Open Council member of ILA (2025-28). He is a Life member of ILA, RTLA, FHSLA, ASLIP, JALIS.
